Biography
Felicia Miyakawa has been an avid volunteer deputy registrar (VDR) since 2017 and has registered hundreds of voters in Central Texas counties. She is best known for asking anyone she encounters “ARE YOU REGISTERED TO VOTE AT YOUR CURRENT ADDRESS?”, much to the embarrassment of her teenage son. After earning a Ph.D. In Musicology, Felicia taught at a public university in Tennessee for 10 years. She has also been an academic editor, a Special Education Advocate, and a Homeschool mom. As a recovering academic, she especially enjoys volunteering with First Vote and working with high school and college age students. She also gardens and perpetually tries to give acquaintances native wildflower seeds from her yard. She lives in Rock Rock with her family and her Internet-famous house panthers (ok, cats).
Felicia is currently serving as Interim Director of Voter Services.
