Biography
I joined the League of Women Voters of the Comal Area in Nov. 2016, because I needed to channel my frustration about voter apathy and low turnout into action. Volunteering to take pictures at LWVCA meetings evolved into joining the Board as Publicity Director in June 2017 and working to increase the League’s visibility and outreach in the Comal Area.
Mostly retired since 2014, I live in Spring Branch with my spouse of 47 years, Bob Baranowski, and four dogs. Besides registering and informing voters, I enjoy gardening, reading, baking and crafting jewelry for my at home business, 15 Paws Earrings. My experience includes a varied career in non-profit management, business administration and human resources with hazardous shipping, dog training and photography sprinkled in, and miscellaneous volunteering ranging from serving tamales at Los Pastores at Mission San Jose to Garden Ridge City Treasurer to organizing hospitality at dog sports events.
